Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Sagarium (the "Service"), operated by Sagarium ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use the Service.

2. Subscriptions, billing, and plan limits

The Service offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown at checkout and are stated in Canadian dollars (CAD). Each tier includes resource limits (such as the number of campaigns, members, characters, and NPCs); we may enforce these limits and prevent creation of resources beyond your plan. 3. Your content

You retain ownership of the campaigns, worlds, characters, and other content you create ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, store, back up, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by uploading unlawful content, infringing others' rights, attempting to breach security or access data that isn't yours, scraping, or overloading our systems. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, excluding Your Content, is owned by Sagarium and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you no rights to our trademarks or branding.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or as required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sagarium will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, by email or in-app). Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
